How do I draw a white line with my paint brush in GIMP.?

This seems as though it should be super easy but I can't figure out what I need to do. I would think I could pick the paintbrush tool and then a color but it doesn't do that. This is so frustrating. I need help in changing any of the paint tools' colors. Thanks!How do I draw a white line with my paint brush in GIMP.?
Select the Paint Brush tool (P). Click on the Canvas to make a starting point, then hit Shift and you will see a guide, click to another area of the canvas and there you will have your line.





Does the Color on the foreground color change?





If it does then your problem might be the mode of the image. Click on Image %26gt; Mode and select RGB.





If the Foreground and Background colors are not there then you will need to click on edit %26gt; Preferences and go to toolbox and activate it.
