it depends the size or the width of the cabinet, if this is too wide this is the time you should use roller, or if this too short or cute cabinet, now it is the time to use brush, roller, but let me give you some tips, both roller and brush is not suitable for the cabinet to use, basically, we use paint spray so it can be done well.
If you are not an experienced painter, you will find that rolling the cabinets will give you a more even finish.
Use a very fine nap roller or the newer dense foam rollers, they will give you a smooth finish. Combine the short nap roller with a good leveling enamel ( Oil: Satin Impervo, ProClassic Latex: Waterborne ProCLasic, Muralo Ultra, Waterbone Impervo) and you will get a smooth even job.
