How to fix a damaged Paint Brush?

Hey, I'm a Warhammer 40,000 gamer/hobbyist

I have a large diversity of paints and paintbrushes but a problem I occasionally get is that I push a little to hard and end up splaying the brush. Now anyone else that does Warhammer will know that a splayed brush is no use because of the amounts of minute detail that needs to be filled in.

So does anybody know how to fix a splayed brush?

You can try, but it's not really worth it. Use it as a learning experience, buy a new one, and take care of it! I learned the hard way... My son (another Warhammer enthusiast) is also learning the hard way!

When not in use, I tend to keep my brushes in the plastic tubes they came with to protect them. If you've lost some of the tubes, plastic drinking straws work quite well.

Sorry! It's a pig when you lose a decent brush to a moment of silliness. How to fix a damaged Paint Brush?
The only thing I can suggest is to re-wet your brush with whatever you used to clean it, shape it properly, and let it air-dry completely. Sometimes you can re-train the bristles, sometimes not. Good luck.
