angled will fit in to the corners better. It will also paint around the top better.Remember when you are trying to paint you are not painting the wall the brush is. So learn to work your your brush for a net job. Always stay eye level with your brush when doing trim. Painter 20 plus years. good luck. What's the best paint brush (straight or angled) to use for corners (wall to ceiling)?
After multiple thousands of gallons of paint, BEST is a relative word. In part the issues are the BRUSH quality and the Operator, not strictly the TYPE of brush.
Actually ';BETTER'; is paint the ceilings; allowing approx 1/16 down on the walls' then paint the walls; leaving that perfectly straight ceiling line. You can use a PAD, even one with wheels as spacers.

ART with a 4 inch brushWhat's the best paint brush (straight or angled) to use for corners (wall to ceiling)?
angeled for corners and roll brushes for the rest of the wall then a regular brush to get tthe bottoms so you dont get the floor but put paper or plastic down near the floor meeting the wall part too dont forget
Angled is what I always use, you get a better cutting edge.
both are good for painting, but for you to know if your painting properly your walls, u can use rollers to paint the ceiling, because if use brush to paint with in the ceiling you will get easily tired and get some stiff neck, but when you use some rollers for painting it is easy for you to apply the paint.
hope this can help!
goodluck! :)
