If no one here knows, don't worry, the same commercial will be on about 500 more times. I know what you're talking about, it's basically a large sponge with a handle. The sponge has a point so that it can do corners. You hold it like a sanding block.
When I watch that commercial carefully, I realize that it's a messy painter. Look at when they paint around the switch plate - it gets paint on the edge of the switch plate.
