Paint brush?

hi can someone tell me what is the best thing to use to clean a paint brush every time i clean a brush the next day its eather hard ,,stiff ,the brissels fall out cant get the brush soft or good enogh to use again what should i use is there anything out there that can make your brush almost looken like and feeling new again i know its onot going to be brand new but you all know what i mean please help thankyouPaint brush?

Water base - I was with warm water and soap - I make sure all hairs are cleaned of paint. Then dip it in a little deluted fabric softer, and air dry. The brush you used with thinner or terpintine, I do my best to make sure all paint is clear off brissles and wash with hot water and soap, again dip in deluted fabric softner and air dry. They will never look new again but will soften the brissles. I have to admit - the more expensive the brush the better resultes. You buy cheap, it ends up acting like its cheap, and fall apart much fast. Happy Painting.
For water based paint I just run mine under water till it runs clear then towel dry. The bristles are much more pliable the next day then when it air dries.
Sounds like your not rinsing out your brush well enough from the paint in the first place. Try that next time.
That would depend on the type of paint you are using, latex or oil based.





Latex - I usually lay my sink in a faucet for about 30 min and let water run over it (once I have already pretty thoroughly cleaned it).





Oil based - you need some sort of mineral spirits to properly clean it. And you have to keep cleaning it until ther mineral spirits do not show any signs of paint residue.





Some people will simply allow their brush to set in the water or mineral spirits overnight to avoid this problem all together.
If you are using oil-based paint, then you gotta clean the brush in gasoline or paint-thinner.





If you use latex paint, then hold it under a steady stream of hot water for 5-6 minutes. Clean it until absolutely no more paint come out of the brush. You can't clean your brush in 10 seconds. It will take a while.
Run it under some boiling water.
Rinse out as much paint with water, I assume it is acrylic or latex. Then clean the brush with Murphy's Oil Soap. Work the soap into the bristles and then try to hold them and wiggle them slightly to agitate up by the part that holds the bristles. Then rinse. Repeat if it didn't seem that all the paint came out.





If you are using oil based paint you need to use mineral spirits, and the brush should be natural bristles, not synthetic. Keep rinsing in clean mineral spirits until no more paint comes out.
Once I have rinsed my brushes clean with soap and water I place them in a plastic bag and put them in the fridge. When I am ready to use them again they are still soft and clean,ready to go.
