i'm not an expert but i have used sharpies to some successHow can i get a very thin black outline without using a paint brush something more accurate %26amp; not a pen?
Get a pencil.......get one that has the softness that is appropriate to the width line you want.
Sharpen it, and then re-sharpen it with sandpaper. Use as fine a grit as you need to get the point the size you want. 180 grit is probably good, but you can go higher. The higher the number the finer the grit.
Harder lead will hold the tip better as you draw.
Rememeber...as you draw, and the lead wears down, the tip will become wider. This is why I mention the hardness. Charcoal is easy to use, but wears quickly. You'll have to sharpen more often
You can do some extremely fine detail work using just a standard #2 pencil believe it or not.
go 2 whsmiths theyre really gd! gd luk
