Does a small paint brush from the craft store work the same as a brush to apply waterproof mascara as eyeliner?

No. Different brushes have different types of bristles. Some are more rough some are too soft. It all depends on what the brushes are used for. You don't want to buy something from a craft store that was meant for painting because it will be the wrong type of bristles for makeup. The texture will be all off and your makeup will probably look sloppier.Does a small paint brush from the craft store work the same as a brush to apply waterproof mascara as eyeliner?
I agree with the others that the fine hairs of brushes are made for specific purposes... (and that you should use a regular mascara brush made for mascara and a regular eyeliner brush for eyeliner). There ARE water-proof liquid eyeliners out there though... so check them out!

Also, if you do happen to use a craft store art brush, make sure it's size ZERO -- that's the smallest ;)Does a small paint brush from the craft store work the same as a brush to apply waterproof mascara as eyeliner?
No because it won't be soft enough and can tear the skin around your eyes. Just buy an inexpensive one from the drug store. I recommend ecotools brand! They are perfect and soft and come in a set of 5. And have bamboo handles and don't use animal hair. So they are good for the environment as well. They were also featured in an edition of Lucky Magazine. I use them everyday.
