Do I need a specific paint brush to paint on glass?

I have a heavy glass to paint on. It's white and I want to paint it black and brown. I'm using acrylic paint. I went to a crafts store and it had specfic paintbrushes to use on specific surfaces. There was only one for glass and it was the most expensive but someone I know who paints a lot, said it didn't matter what kind of paint brush I use? Please advise. Thanks.Do I need a specific paint brush to paint on glass?
It depends what you are painting on the glass. Are you just painting an area out or are you doing art on it? Are you painting on the outside of the glass or on the inside? If you are painting like a panel on the inside it doesn't matter. You could use a roller. On the outside (the side you view) it's a different thing. I would use a sable (not a natural sable, but a synthetic one) You wouldn't be happy with what a bristle brush does. Lots of brush strokes and trouble with coverage. If you e mail me and give me more info I can help you out.Do I need a specific paint brush to paint on glass?
Your freid is correct,..whatever brush that works is the one you want,.....I'll suggest ';nylon'; for acrylics since acrylic is really plastic but it's waterbased,....then nylon will be a great choice and will apply the paint as well as you can paint yourself.........since you havent mentioned what you're painting, let me tell you, there are some basic kinds of brushes,...the is the ';round';, the ';filbert';, the ';flat'; and the ';cutter';.....they come in all sizes, the ';round'; is probably your most versatile kind.
ues one with very soft bristles, of natural materials. You will get less brush marks that way.
